Today, smartphones are an essential part of modern life. It is very complicated to be able to live without one. Due to this and their high cost, they are a very valuable and important investment and you must choose your next mobile phone wisely. Ensuring that you choose one of the latest mobile phones, one that best suits your budget and offers the features that you need. In terms of features you should look for things such as the operating system of your smartphone (iOS or Android), storage capacity, battery life, screen resolution, etc.
Here is a list of our recommendations of the latest mobile phones 2018
Samsung Galaxy S8
This phone has been out for just over a year, and is one of the best Android mobile phones available right now. It is true that the Samsung Galaxy S9 has already come out, but it doesn’t have any major features over the Galaxy S8 and the S8 is better value for money. Currently it costs only £500 (SIM Free). Among its virtues, there is a magnificent and innovative design Infinity Display 18.5:9, an excellent screen with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and 64 GB of storage. The S8 works with Android 7.0. It is true that the performance of its battery is worse than the Samsung Galaxy S7, but it’s compensated with a faster recharging than its predecessor.
This second generation model from Google is quite excellent, but what makes it stand out from the rest of today’s high-end smartphones is its exceptional camera. Its 12.2 megapixel rear camera is superior to the camera of the iPhone 8 and its predecessors, being able to take incredible photos. The Pixel 2 is also quite fast; it’s equipped with a 2.45 Ghz Snapdragon 835 processor, 64 GB of storage and has an excellent battery performance. It costs £629 Sim Free,
which might seem a bit expensive but without a doubt, the Pixel 2 deserves it.
iPhone 8 Plus
Although probably the iPhone X is the best phone in 2018, we don’t recommend it due to its high cost. It is preferable to wait a while for the iPhone X to lower in price, because no matter how good it is, paying more than £1000 for a mobile phone is crazy. In addition, the iPhone 8 Plus is almost as good as its big brother. It’s equipped with Apple’s first 6-core processor, the A11 Bionic, which far outperforms its Android competitors. And better let’s not talk about its magnificent 12 megapixel dual camera, which is what makes the difference between 8 Plus and the normal iPhone 8 (plus it has better battery life than his little brother). It costs around £800 (Sim Free).
Without doubt, this is the model with the best value for money available on the market today. It costs only £469 (Sim Free), an admirable thing for one of the most complete devices on the market. It´s equipped with a 2.8GHz Snapdragon 845 processor, a magnificent AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 64 GB of storage and an extraordinary dual 16/20 megapixel rear camera, with almost the same quality as the iPhone 8 Plus. It’s as fast as the most popular models, it looks just as good, and it’s avalible for around £300 less. Recommended.
Without a doubt, the best cheap mobile phones available today. After the disappointment of the G5, Motorola brings us a spectacular smartphone for only £219 (Sim Free). With a simple and elegant design, the Moto G6 brings with it a good 5.7-inch screen and a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. The Moto G6 is equipped with a modern 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 450 and 32 GB of storage, suitable for a mid-range smartphone. Its battery life is decent but it isn’t very long (10 hours and 46 minutes). It has a very good camera for its low price. For less than £300, you won’t find anything better.
